Job description

Schrock Innovations is hiring a confident, solution‑focused Senior Technician to join our Omaha Service Center team. This experienced-level role is ideal for a technician with strong technical skills who enjoys mentoring junior staff, resolving complex issues, and shaping a high-quality service experience for our customers.


What You’ll Do:

  • Resolve advanced hardware, software, and networking issues independently across multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android)
  • Help customers understand their technology and recommend practical solutions that improve their daily experience
  • Accurately document service events, including diagnostics, work performed, and resolutions
  • Serve as a primary escalation point for complex service tickets and customer concerns
  • Travel to scheduled home visits using a company-provided vehicle
  • Mentor junior technicians, support skill development, and contribute to team knowledge sharing
  • Assist with inventory management and workspace organization
  • Support other Schrock Innovations locations when needed
  • Improve operational efficiency through documentation, workflow refinement, and process improvements
  • Use and learn emerging technologies, including AI tools, to enhance internal workflows and customer interactions

What We’re Looking For:

  • Available to work a full-time schedule: Wednesday to Saturday 10a – 6p and Sunday 12p-5p
  • 2+ years of experience in technical support, IT services, or computer repair
  • Confidence promoting services, upgrades, and solutions during customer interactions
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across multiple operating systems and device types
  • Clear, confident communication with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and support a positive, growth-oriented team culture
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and kneeling
