Job Description acuCyber is looking for a Senior Computer Engineer to lead the design, development, integration, and evaluation of complex computer systems and networks. The Senior Computer Engineer will translate operational requirements into reliable technical solutions spanning computer hardware, software, system architecture, and network infrastructure. This individual will perform engineering analyses, develop technical specifications, support system integration and testing, resolve complex performance and interoperability issues, and provide technical guidance to engineering teams and program stakeholders. Required Skills * Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; alternatively, a master's degree in Mathematics with a concentration in computer science.
* At least 10 years of professional experience in computer system design, software development, computer networks, or a combination of these disciplines.
* Demonstrated experience designing, developing, integrating, or evaluating complex computer systems and their hardware, software, and network components.
* Experience translating operational and system requirements into technical architectures, specifications, interface definitions, and engineering solutions.
* Ability to troubleshoot complex system-performance, integration, interoperability, and reliability issues.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical recommendations to engineering, program-management, and customer stakeholders.
* Active TS/SCI Clearance Desired Skills * Experience supporting Department of Defense, federal government, intelligence community, or other mission-critical systems.
* Knowledge of systems engineering processes, requirements management, configuration management, risk management, and verification and validation.
* Experience with software architecture, embedded systems, distributed systems, cloud computing, virtualization, or enterprise network design.
* Familiarity with cybersecurity engineering principles, secure system design, and applicable NIST or DoD technical standards.
* Experience leading technical teams, conducting design reviews, mentoring junior engineers, or providing technical direction across multidisciplinary projects.
* Relevant professional certification or advanced training in systems engineering, networking, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, or software development.
