As part of our continuing growth, we are looking for a motivated and collaborative Junior Cloud Engineer to join our inclusive technology team. This role offers the opportunity to develop practical experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, platform operations, and secure technology delivery across client projects.

Responsibilities โ€“ Junior Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure & Automation
  • Assist with the design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of secure and scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Support cloud migration, infrastructure modernisation, platform engineering, and digital transformation projects.

  • Help implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Pulumi, or equivalent technologies.

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.

  • Support the development and operation of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.

  • Assist with the configuration of cloud services including compute, storage, networking, databases, identity, and access management.

  • Support containerised workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and managed container platforms.

  • Monitor cloud environments, applications, and infrastructure, responding to alerts and escalating incidents where appropriate.

  • Investigate technical issues, perform initial troubleshooting, and contribute to preventative improvements.

  • Apply cloud security, access control, governance, backup, and compliance requirements in line with established procedures.

  • Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, deployment information, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams.

  • Collaborate with cloud engineers, DevOps specialists, software engineers, security teams, project teams, and clients.

Essential Skills โ€“ Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, Azure & Automation
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Initial professional, academic, or project experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, systems administration, software development, or IT operations.

  • Foundational knowledge of at least one major public cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts including virtual machines, storage, networking, databases, identity, access management, and security.

  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or Pulumi.

  • Basic scripting or programming experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript, or Go.
