Position Summary:
The High School Bowling Coach will lead and oversee the bowling program for the district, which serves a diverse student population in a rural setting. The coach is responsible for developing student-athletes to succeed on the lanes, in the classroom, and in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective training, game strategies for student-athletes.
  • Foster a supportive and disciplined team culture that emphasizes character, teamwork, and academic success.
  • Organize and manage practices, game schedules, equipment.
  • Collaborate with school administration, teachers, and athletic staff to support student-athletes academically and personally.
  • Recruit and mentor assistant coaches, providing guidance on player development, training techniques, and adherence to program goals.
  • Ensure all safety guidelines, including medical and health protocols, are followed during practices, games, and events.
  • Promote school and community spirit and encourage attendance and involvement in games and athletic events.
  • Manage budget and fundraising efforts in coordination with the school and athletic department.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience coaching bowling ideally, at least, at the junior varsity level preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills to engage student-athletes, staff, parents, and the community.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards, training protocols, and game regulations.
  • Proven ability to promote sportsmanship, academic success, and personal growth among student-athletes.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet program needs.

Valid CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or willingness to obtain).
