At Kidwell, our employees are our top priority, and we are seeking a dependable, organized individual to join our team as a Assistant Operations & Office Coordinator in our West Des Moines office.
This position plays an important role in keeping our office, warehouse, and field operations running smoothly. From coordinating deliveries and supporting our technicians to maintaining our office environment, you'll help ensure our team has what they need to serve our customers every day. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, strong organizational skills and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Receive and distribute daily mail and packages.
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify materials, enter receipts into Remarcable, create labels, and stage materials in the warehouse.
  • Coordinate LTL freight deliveries and outbound shipments, including returns, direct mail, and customer gifts.
  • Manage staged materials for technicians and assist with jobsite logistics.
  • Coordinate office maintenance requests with vendors and service providers.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and service appointments for company vehicles.
  • Help maintain the office, tenant space, warehouse, breakroom, and common areas.
  • Stock office, restroom and breakroom supplies.
  • Assist with basic grounds maintenance, including watering plants, picking up trash and debris and managing pallets.
  • Flagpole maintenance.
  • Deliver parts to local jobsites as needed.
  • Coordinate deliveries between the West Des Moines and regional Kidwell offices.
  • Assist with setup and teardown for company events, customer visits and vendor meetings.
  • Serve as a secondary on-call contact for fire and alarm notifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in office administration, operations, logistics, warehouse, facilities or customer service preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to support the team wherever needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform light physical work, including moving materials and stocking supplies.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
