Job description

In the role of Mortgage Loan Originator, you are essential in helping clients navigate their mortgage options. This person evaluates clients' financial profiles and recommends appropriate loan solutions. You manage the end-to-end loan process, from initial consultation to closing, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. Collaboration with underwriters and other team members is key to delivering timely and efficient service. This position takes place in an office setting, where you engage with clients and maintain detailed records of all transactions.Compensation:

$77,000 - $90,500 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Foster transparency through clear communication with clients and stakeholders
  • Examine financial and credit data to evaluate borrower eligibility and associated risks
  • Seek out process improvement areas and implement proven practices
  • Direct mortgage loan origination to satisfy client expectations and meet business goals
  • Manage loan application progress and communicate results

  • Advise & Convert: Take ownership of a consistent, premium inflow of leads. Consult with families to identify the best financial outcomes and secure high-caliber applications. 
  • Strategic Architect: Leverage deep knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional, and Jumbo products to find creative, compliant solutions for complex files. 
  • Structured Coverage: Participate in a rotating evening and weekend schedule to capture business when it happens. This system ensures we provide elite service while allowing you to be truly "off" when you aren't on shift—a rare luxury in a 100% commission environment. 
  • Maintain the Gold Standard: Drive files through the pipeline with "Platinum" standards for speed, accuracy, and client confidence. 
  • Elite Execution: Navigate terms and structure deals to maximize production while maintaining the boutique, high-touch service our brand is known for.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in operating mortgage loan origination applications
  • Knowledge of FHA, VA, and USDA loan options
  • NMLS license in active status is required
  • Three or more years working in mortgage lending
  • Proven capability to work solo and collaboratively
  • 2-3 years of experience in mortgage loan origination.
  • Experience with FHA, VA, and USDA mortgage programs.
  • Active NMLS license is required.
  • Demonstrated skill in independent and team environments.
  • Presence in our Fairfax, VA office is preferred to fully integrate with our team culture; hybrid options are available for elite candidates.
