Job description

Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and corporate TECHNIMARK, procedures and guidelines, this position:
Manages the following processes for border multi-location operation in compliance with all US, Mexico and European government regulations, as well as Technimark policies for movement of raw material, assembled product, equipment, supplies, and retuned product.
- Tariff classifications.
- Import/export duty payments.
- Import/export permits and licenses.
- Import/export transaction processing.
- FDA clearance for all US imports from Juarez; initial contact for FDA border issue resolution.
- Border transportation.
- Customs statutory reporting as required by government authorities.
- Customs internal controls.
- Analyzes and advises management on impact of changes related to US and Mexican Customs laws and regulations.
Manages Customs department budget.
Provide performance and potential feedback for direct reports, partnering with them to prepare short and long-term development plans.
Sets standards for safe behavior. Ensures that direct reports employ safety practices. Enforces safety policies and procedures. Represents Juarez Technimark operating company upon Mexico Customs.
Follow Technimark records management policies for convenience information, records retention schedules, training, and education, document hold notices, records cleanout, inactive records and information management, vital records, and third-party vendor if applicable.
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all company guidelines related to health, safety and environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition.
Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
This position travels occasionally
Performs other duties assigned as needed.
