ย ย Roles and Responsibilities for Project Manager

  • Ordering and confirming neededย supplies, tools and equipment and communicating with supervisor(s) andย team leads clearly and effectivelyย 
  • Consult with supervisor and teamย leads on specifications of work orders
  • Responsible for management and scope of individual projects and project portfolio.
  • Point person and company's contact with clients while functioning as project manager.
  • Assists in new sales with clientsย for which they are managing projects.
  • Review all project documents andย be familiar with all aspects of the project. Understand the materials toย be installed and the work to be performed. Know how codes and standardsย apply to the work to be performed.
  • Create and update projectย documents using Visio, Excel, PDF Pro, and MS Project as needed.
  • Schedule technician resources toย ensure projects stay on track and on budget.
  • Coordinate installation with account manager, customer, sub-contractor, and technicians.
  • Participate in customer construction status calls as required.
  • When applicable, make site visits throughout the job to evaluate the technicians and work quality.
  • Provide frequent and detailed project/service status updates to the customer, account manager, andย project team.
  • Work closely with the onsite leadย technicians to recognize and capture any additional work. Prepare changeย orders as needed.

Education & Experience

  • Any cabling experience is preferred but willing to train the right candidates

Additional Information

Our business is open five days a week, but our installation service might extend beyond normal business hours and possibly into the night. Some travel with overnight stays will be required. Schedules tend to remain fixed; however, flexibility is a requirement.
