Position Overview:

Be part of a high performance, growing team implementing and supporting IT infrastructure used to facilitate distribution of products and to ensure organizational stability across multiple platforms. Work with different tools and technologies while making major impacts on a small and agile team. Current technology stack centered on Microsoft Windows, Sage 100 enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, and HighJump warehouse management system (WMS). Candidates will be analytical, detail oriented, and comfortable working with and manipulating data. Contribute to the on-going development of best practices, identification of suitable new tools and system and service improvements.

The Data Analyst should be a highly motivated individual who is technical and works very well in a dynamic, and team-oriented environment. Main focus on establishing data maintenance standards by continually updating systems to improve data quality. This individual must be eager and capable of learning new skills and technology, and be motivated to work in a fast paced atmosphere where wearing multiple hats is encouraged. This position will report to the IT Operations Team Lead.

Duties:

  • Maintaining a detailed and organized SQL database to ensure data entries are complete and accurate.
  • Automating/writing data manipulation scripts to maintain good quality data as well as to complete redundant work swiftly.
  • Auditing data at regular intervals to locate errors or missing data and fixing them by working with associated team members.
  • Adhering to best data management practices and maintaining a high standard of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Creating various data validation and data completeness reports.
  • Supporting the Company ERP and WMS.
  • Monitoring system performance, availability and generating metrics.
  • Generating reports and analytics.
  • Preparing documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 1-3 years equivalent experience required
  • Analytical and basic problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to break down tasks and estimate work assignments
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical approach, status, and necessity for assistance
  • Ability to interact independently as well as with a team
  • Adaptable to change


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of database development experience
  • 1-3 years of .NET programming experience
  • 1-3 years of Microsoft Office experience
