We’re seeking an exceptional Backend Engineer to join and help build the core implementation of our cloud‑backend systems powering real‑time industrial data insights that advance sustainability at scale. What You Will Do
  • Build & Ship APIs: Develop and maintain backend APIs and services that power our core product, working closely with senior engineers to deliver production‑ready features.
  • Work with Data Pipelines: Support development and maintenance of data pipelines using tools like Databricks, helping process and analyze large‑scale datasets.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Work with Terraform to help manage and deploy cloud infrastructure in a scalable and repeatable way.
  • Product Performance: Improve database and infrastructure performance by optimizing relational schemas and building robust, high‑efficiency data pipelines.
  • Monitoring Infrastructure: Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting of our cloud infrastructure to identify bottlenecks and minimize downtime.
  • Security Design: Make security a first‑class priority by integrating secure data practices throughout everything we build.
  • Grow Fast: Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and domain knowledge in a fast‑paced environment.
About You
  • Strong Python and/or PHP skills with solid backend development experience.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL databases, with demonstrated ability for complex queries, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure.
  • Understanding of data pipelines (ETL; Spark/Databricks is a plus).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
  • Knowledge of security best practices.
  • Strong ownership mindset with excellent problem‑solving skills.
