About This Role

We are seeking Full-time Lead Teachers to join our joyful and supportive team at Joyful Hearts Learning Center for Fall!

Our center is a warm and loving environment where we create opportunities for children to grow and thrive. We're looking for passionate individuals who share our vision and are dedicated to providing exceptional care and education.

  • Teach and care for children of all ages, from 6 weeks to 5 years
  • Must meet the Wisconsin DCF Lead Teacher qualification requirements
  • Work a schedule of 30-40 hours per week
  • Enjoy a competitive salary of $17-$19 per hour, dependent on experience
  • Available to work between 6am and 5:30pm

What You'll Do
  • Establish a nurturing environment that prioritizes child safety and well-being
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that foster play-based learning and exploration
  • Set and achieve independent goals for each child
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive support to children and families
  • Build strong relationships with families through regular communication and updates

Requirements
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and grow professionally
  • Calm, patient, and nurturing approach to childcare
  • Capacity to engage with children for extended periods of time
  • Minimum age of 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of required coursework for a lead teacher in a child care center and commitment to ongoing education.

  • At least 1 year of experience in the child care field
  • Early Childhood Degree or related field
