Job description

DynaTen (a Comfort Systems USA Company) has been successfully providing Commercial Service and Construction Solutions to the greater North Texas market. DynaTen is seeking a Plumbing Journeyman to join our team! As a plumbing journeyman, you will support commercial construction projects by installing and/or servicing plumbing systems. Additionally, this is a position that offers professional development and long-term career growth in construction operations and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial plumbing installation from underground/rough ins, stack out to trim outs on large scale commercial and industrial construction projects such as, healthcare, government, educational, manufacturing, data centers and others. Process business billings through the financial system to ensure all customers receive invoices in a timely and consistent manner.

  • Install hangers and supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation for water, gas, compressed air, medical gas, or other liquids. Always demonstrate a consistent customer service mindset to both internal and external customers.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and building specifications required for each job site to accurately install systems.

  • Installation of copper, steel, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and other piping.

  • Duties could include setting grease traps, decontamination tanks, oil interceptors, lint interceptors, utility hookups, etc.

  • Able to work from ladders and man lifts from various heights and operate the equipment as needed.

  • Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of commercial plumbing experience depending on level (Apprentice, Journeyman, Master).

  • Valid / current plumbing license.

  • Medical Gas Certification, or ability to obtain, preferred.

  • If Journeyman or above, experience leading and coaching apprentices.

  • OSHA 10 hour preferred.

  • Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.

  • Maintain a positive, cooperative, and teachable attitude.

  • Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, humidity, rain, snow, wind, and sunlight. Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
