Job Description

Boone Power is looking for a Journeyman Lineworker.

The Journeyman Lineworker possess demonstrated experience and proficiency in all aspects of electric distribution line work. This position performs the construction, maintenance, repair, and emergency restoration of energized and de-energized overhead and underground distribution lines, as well as related equipment and facilities. The Journeyman Lineworker works safely and efficiently while performing all duties associated with the operation and maintenance of the electric distribution system.

The Journeyman Lineworker must be available for 24/7 callouts on a rotating schedule and reside, or be willing to relocate to reside, within a 20-mile radius of the Boone County Courthouse Square.

The successful candidate will report to the Director of Operations. Other duties may be assigned according to business needs and directives.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Current Journeyman Lineman designation is required
  • Thorough knowledge of electricity, NEC, NESC, and OSHA rules
  • Valid driver's license is required
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL - Class A) is required
  • CPR and First Aid certificate is required
  • Pole top and bucket rescue is required
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces
  • Must be able to operate all equipment in the field
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
