Work EnvironmentCan work independently on projectsWorks under supervision, gaining experience
Industry UsageRecognized as a qualified worker in trades like electrical, plumbing, and carpentryUsed during training period before becoming a journeyman

The main difference between a Journeyman Card and an Apprentice Card is the level of experience and certification. A Journeyman Card indicates that the worker has completed necessary training and can work independently, while an Apprentice Card is held during the training phase under supervision. Both are essential steps in skilled trades careers, but the journeyman status signifies a higher qualification and readiness to handle projects independently.

What can you do with a journeyman card?

A journeyman card certifies that a worker has completed an apprenticeship and possesses the skills to perform skilled trades such as electrical, plumbing, or carpentry work independently. With a journeyman card, individuals can typically work on construction sites, take on supervisory roles, and perform specialized tasks within their trade. It often serves as a prerequisite for licensing or further certification in many regions.
