Job Title:  Executive Producer - Atlanta Radio

Position Overview

Cox Media Group (CMG) is looking for an Executive Producer for Atlanta Radio WSB-FM. We're seeking talented, enthusiastic, motivated, and goal-oriented individuals who are self-starters and excel in a fast-paced work environment. We cover breaking news and weather, all with a heart for the community both on-air and online.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor on-air programming for quality, timing, and compliance with FCC regulations.

Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows

Oversee all training and scheduling of Board Ops

Coordinate with talent, producers, and traffic teams to ensure smooth transitions and accurate commercial placement.

Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and escalate as needed.

Record, edit, and load audio content for playback using automation systems.

Maintain logs and documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.

Support remote broadcasts and live events as needed.

Monitors listener emails, inquiries and responses related to shows

Assist the management team with planning of future projects, elections, and other special events. Must be assertive with breaking news and weather coverage.

Solid news judgment

Respond aggressively to breaking news, making sure we are ahead of the competition day-in and day-out

Be able to multitask and manage time in order to execute live breaking news in a clean manner for the listeners

Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment

Strong leadership and communication skills

Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must

Proficient with Adobe Audition, WideOrbit, etc.

Ability to work in emergency situations at a moments notice including weekends and overnights

Monitor live streams both audio and video

Edit audio for holiday best of programming

Performs other duties as assigned

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Minimum two years' experience in news operations (Depending on market size)

Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment

Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Flexibility to work any shift

Minimum Qualifications

Flexibility with respect to scheduling and/or assigned work shifts.

Must have at least some previous news producing experience at a radio station, although the right entry-level candidate may be considered

2-3 years of experience as a producer/board-op in a top 25 market

Preferred Qualifications

BS/BA in Journalism/Communications or equivalent background

5+ years of experience as a producer in a top 10 market; or previous Executive Producer experience preferred
