JOB DESCRIPTION
The Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is located in the center of the bustling Seaport District. The AAA Four Diamond rated hotel boasts 1,054 finely appointed guestrooms with 52 suites, seven delectable dining experiences, a scenic rooftop pool, a luxury Breve Spa, and more than 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space allowing to provide each guest a unique and memorable experience. Creativity must infuse everything we do, and everyone in the hotel. Performance realities will always exist, but we use these constraints to push, not limit, our creativity. We believe there is always a way to make it work. If we don't have the solution, we dig deeper creatively to find one.
Local 26 Contract stipulates starting rate per hour at $18.38 and after 6 Months of service, rate increases to $19.70 per hour. After one year of service, hourly rate per hour increases to $26.26.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Grab the reigns and help shape the future of the Seaport's best kept secret! Creativity must infuse everything we do, and everyone in the Hotel. Performance realities will always exist, but we use these constraints to push, not limit, our creativity.
The Overnight Bell Person is responsible for delivering excellence in guest service by developing relationships with guests, providing personalized service, anticipating, and delivering guests' needs during the overnight shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greet guests and welcome them to the hotel.
  • Unloads guest luggage from a variety of types of transportation and brings inside to the bell stand.
  • Assists in the transport and storage of guest luggage.
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and organized appearance according to Omni Boston Seaport standards.
  • Controls the traffic flow in and out of the motor lobby.
  • Speak to guests in a friendly, warm manner, making them feel welcome at the hotel.
  • Calls for taxi, or other method of transportation, as needed.
  • Be Knowledgeable of all hotel amenities and with different points of interest.
  • Perform any other duties required by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous luxury hotel experience is required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, exceptional organizational skills, an ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for the entire scheduled shift.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with fellow associates and guests in person or via a cellular telephone/radio.
