Description:

FAT Brands Inc is a leading global franchising company that develops and grows fast casual, quick-service, and casual dining concepts around the world — a portfolio of 12 brands, including Round Table Pizza®, Fatburger, Marble Slab Creamery, Johnny Rockets, Fazoli’s, Great American Cookies, Buffalo’s Cafe & Express, Hurricane Grill & Wings, Native Grill & Wings, Pretzelmaker, and Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouses, spanning more than 1,700 units worldwide.

The Community Marketing Manager is the brand-building voice and community owner for their assigned brand(s). This role blends strategic planning, always-on community management, and creative experience design — developing memorable experiential activations and influencer partnerships that build genuine connections between the brand and its guests. This person will split time between calendar/strategy work and planning or overseeing standout brand moments.

Key Responsibilities

• Bring brand expertise and business priorities to strategic and creative discussions

• Provide approvals and collaborate cross-functionally on creative development

• Serve as the community and guest-experience perspective in brand planning conversations

• Own the integrated marketing/social calendar for assigned brand(s)

• Set promotional priorities and ensure cross-functional alignment across teams

• Conceptualize and manage experiential activations and influencer events that build brand buzz

• Identify and cultivate relationships with relevant local and regional influencers

• Coordinate event logistics and vendor/agency partners, ensuring on-brand execution

• Drive daily engagement and guest care across community channels

• Identify opportunities to surprise and delight fans

• Foster and grow local community relationships

• Monitor organic content and channel performance

• Share business context behind the numbers and partner with the team on optimization recommendations

• Source authentic local restaurant stories and guest moments

• Facilitate on-site content capture

• Identify and cultivate local partnership and collaboration opportunities

• Serve as the go-to marketing resource for assigned brand's daily needs

• Support franchisee-facing marketing initiatives as needed

Ideal candidate will reside in Los Angeles or OC area. This is a fully remote position, but employee must be available to meet locally for meetings and restaurant visits as well as occasional overnight travel.

Requirements:

• 3–5+ years in marketing, community management, or brand/experiential events (restaurant, hospitality, or franchise experience strongly preferred)

• Comfortable operating as both a strategic partner and a creative, hands-on planner

• Strong writer/communicator with an eye for authentic, local storytelling

• Highly organized — able to own a calendar and juggle multiple concurrent priorities

• Willing and able to attend and oversee events (including evenings/weekends as needed)

• Experience with social/community platforms, influencer relations, and basic performance reporting
