Job description

A trenchless sewer rehabilitation contractor serving Metro Atlanta seeks an experienced CIPP Technician to assist with cured-in-place pipe liner installations and perform pipeline inspections. Operate CCTV inspection equipment, robotic tap cutting systems, and bypass pumping to support sewer and storm line rehabilitation projects. Work is primarily local across Atlanta, Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Marietta, and Sandy Springs with occasional overnight projects.

What We Offer – CIPP Technician

  • Hourly pay: $22-28 per hour, non-exempt
  • On-site role based in Metro Atlanta, GA

Key Responsibilities – CIPP Technician

  • Assist with CIPP liner preparation, handling, and installation for sewer and storm line rehabilitation projects
  • Set up and operate bypass pumping systems to maintain flow during liner installation
  • Perform CCTV pipeline inspections using push cameras and robotic equipment to assess line conditions
  • Operate robotic tap cutting equipment to reinstate service laterals after CIPP installation
  • Support equipment setup, calibration, and breakdown for hot water, steam, and UV curing processes

Key Responsibilities – Trenchless Pipe Technician

  • Maintain equipment readiness through daily inspections, cleaning, and preventive maintenance
  • Follow confined space entry procedures and chemical safety protocols for resin handling and ventilation
  • Document inspection findings, production activities, and equipment condition in daily logs
  • Assist foreman with traffic control, material handling, and site restoration tasks
  • Support crew with equipment transport, setup, and breakdown at multiple job sites daily

Qualifications – CIPP Technician

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year experience in CIPP installation, trenchless pipe repair, or sewer utility work
  • Confined space entry capable with ability to follow permit procedures and safety protocols
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to operate and maintain specialized equipment

Preferred Qualifications – Trenchless Rehabilitation Technician

  • CCTV inspection experience with NASSCO PACP or LACP certification
  • Experience with robotic cutting equipment and lateral reinstatement procedures
  • Bypass pumping setup and operation experience
  • OSHA 10 construction safety certification
  • Flagger certification or traffic control training
  • Previous utility construction or underground infrastructure experience

Physical Requirements – CIPP Technician

  • Lift and carry equipment and materials weighing 50-75 lbs regularly
  • Work in confined spaces including manholes and underground structures
  • Stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods during 8-12 hour shifts
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and humidity
  • Tolerate exposure to chemicals, resins, and styrene with proper PPE and ventilation controls
