Purpose of Position
  • Pick and pack customer orders in a way that achieves maximum productivity with minimal error.

Duties and Responsibilities:


Picking and Packing

  • Accurately pick products for customer orders in accordance with established procedures and productivity standards.
  • Pack customer orders efficiently while supporting all essential order fulfillment operations.
  • Select appropriate packing materials to ensure product safety during shipping while maintaining cost efficiency.

Racquet Service

  • Carefully and efficiently install strings according to racquet specifications.
  • Identify possible damage or defects to racquets and/or strings and assess the necessary corrective actions.
  • Repair and/or replace accessories as needed.

General Warehouse Duties

  • Complete tasks promptly and efficiently to meet operational goals.
  • Take breaks as required and accurately log all breaks on timecard. Resume work duties upon clocking in for shifts/returning from breaks.
  • Ensure a safe, clean and organized work environment by keeping work areas free of clutter and debris.
  • Adapt to busy periods by assisting coworkers and maintaining team flexibility.
  • Continuously enhance skills, procedures and knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Perform routine cleaning and preparation tasks to support warehouse operations (e.g., managing waste, breaking down boxes, handling products).
  • Undertake other necessary warehouse duties as required for the smooth operation of Sports Warehouse.


Performance Benchmarks

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.


Work Environment

This role involves working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and requires routine use of standard warehouse equipment for warehousing/shipping products. This includes, but is not limited to, rolling carts, hand scanners, tape guns, box cutters, cardboard boxes, ladders, hand trucks, pallet jacks etc. Additionally, position requires use of tablets/computers. The environment is designed to promote both focused work and creative brainstorming. The use of racquet stringing machines and related tools/supplies may also be required to support the needs of the business.


Physical Demands

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Frequently move throughout the building to perform essential job duties, including standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and occasional climbing. This position involves continuous active movement and requires remaining in a stationary standing position for extended periods of time.
  • Regularly use hands, wrists, fingers, and arms to handle, sort, pack, organize, and move products, tools, and equipment, including repetitive motion activities and racquet stringing or service-related tasks as assigned.
  • Regularly operate computers, tablets, handheld scanners, warehouse management systems, and other technology or equipment necessary to complete assigned duties accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively to exchange information, coordinate workflow, and support operational and safety needs.
  • Maintain close visual attention to detail when identifying products, processing inventory, fulfilling orders, inspecting merchandise, reading labels or screens, and performing warehouse or racquet service tasks.
  • Regularly lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing up to ten pounds; occasionally lift or move items weighing 10–20 pounds; and infrequently lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Team lifting or the use of mechanical assistance may be required or encouraged for heavier, oversized, or awkward items in accordance with company safety practices.
  • Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment that may include varying temperatures, moderate noise levels, moving equipment, and frequent interaction with warehouse machinery and operational traffic.
  • Ability to work a scheduled shift and maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policies.
  • Ability to adapt to changing job duties and business needs.
