Job Description

Family Medicine Physician needed to join a community health center in Los Angeles, California. This position is through a Federally Qualified Health Center that has been caring for the underserved populations in Los Angeles for over a century. In this position, you will be treating some of Los Angeles’s most vulnerable patient populations, including children whose economic situation may preclude them from receiving care elsewhere.

Working in this clinic will offer you some meaningful experiences, as will life in Los Angeles. With hundreds of neighborhoods, each with its own unique culture, history, and character, Los Angeles has an abundance of unforgettable opportunities. From the Venice Beach Boardwalk to Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles will surprise and delight you time and time again.

Details:

• Full-time, permanent position

• Immediate start

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

• Four 10-hour workdays are also an option

• Call schedule is negotiable

• Caseload of 18 patients per day

• Outpatient services for all ages

• Develop reasonable treatment plans, including referrals and prescriptions

• Acquire patient medical histories and execute physical examinations

• Perform additional office procedures and lab tests

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Medicine or Doctorate in Osteopathy

• Board Certified or Eligible in Family Medicine or Family Medicine with OB

• Unrestricted California medical license

• Active DEA certification

• New graduates encouraged to apply

• Previous ambulatory clinical experience beyond residency preferred but not required

• Working knowledge of Spanish preferred but not required

• Experience with Patient-Centered Medical Home model preferred but not required
