Job description

Salary: $24.00 - $28.00 Hourly

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural fabrication and welding with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This role involves working with various materials and tools to produce high-quality structural components that meet industry standards, including ASME codes. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects in a dynamic environment that values precision, safety, and craftsmanship.


Duties

  • Follow all safety procedures as per employee handbook and safety manual
  • Weld, Fabricate, Grind, Cut safely and productively
  • Read prints in English
  • Accurately read a standard tape measure in English
  • Assisting the shop foremen in any task they require.
  • Loading and unloading trucks safely and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to climb a ladder safely and regularly
  • Rigging material, operating overhead cranes and fork truck safely
  • Punctuality and Attendance are crucial
  • Normal work hours are 6am to 3:30pm and every other Saturday
  • Attention to details and taking pride in your work
  • Be able to lift 50-75# safely, multiple times a day
  • Be able to stand for an entire shift 8-10 hours


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding, and plasma cutting techniques.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Experience with layout and fit-up from shop drawings or blueprints.
  • Experience operating cranes, forklifts, press brake machines, power tools, and machining equipment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with skills in sheet metal work, ductwork fabrication, pipe threading, and assembly processes.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise fabrication work.
  • Excellent hand tool skills along with familiarity with schematics for complex assemblies. This position is ideal for candidates passionate about fabrication technology who thrive in a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and safety compliance.
