About this Role

We are looking for a Pediatric Financial Coordinator to join our progressive, state-of-the-art practice. This permanent, full-time opportunity is distributed across our five modern Edmonton locations. We are looking for a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented professional who excels at building meaningful connections with patients, parents, and team members alike. The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude and professional commitment and thrives in a friendly team-orientated environment.


Responsibilities & Duties 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Manage all aspects of insurance administration including filing and submitting claims, direct billing, and liaising with insurance companies by phone
  • Communicate with patients and families regarding insurance coverage, fees, invoices and statements
  • Manage accounts receivable and monitor production and collection
  • Process payments including electronic submissions and close a balanced day
  • Help with administrative tasks such as checking-in patients, booking appointments, etc. when needed
  • Compile, print, scan and organize financial reports and statements 
  • Additional duties as required 


Skills & Experience

We are looking for a professional who demonstrates the following clinical and interpersonal skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal 
  • Computer proficient; able to learn new software quickly. Ortho2Edge and Curve Hero are used at our clinic
  • Experience in reception or administrative work, preferably in a dental setting 
  • Experience as a Dental Financial coordinator is an asset 
  • Excellent customer service skills both in person and over the phone
  • Available to work during applicable business hours
  • Willing to travel between multiple clinic locations within the Edmonton Area
