Responsible for coordinating all work based learning (WBL) activities both on and off center for all students. Coordinate work based learning for those students who do not reside in the local area, in compliance with government and management directives.ย 

Essential Functions:ย 

  1. Plan and coordinate all on and off center work based learning sites for students on center. These sites should encompass all career technical training offerings.ย 
  2. Facilitate, new, local and distant work based learning sites for students to obtain the necessary work experience.ย 
  3. Log and track all work based learning hours for students in the work based learning program in center information system (CIS).ย 
  4. Establish a network of employers that consist of paid and unpaid sites. These sites should be both local and distant. The distant sites will represent work based learning opportunities for students.ย 
  5. Work with career technical training instructors to ensure students are learning the necessary skills to maintain success on the WBL site.ย 
  6. Attend all CRC and CIC meetings to ensure that consistent connections are being made with local employers and business to continue opportunities for students.ย 
  7. Work closely with the business community liaison at community events to publish and promote the WBL program.ย 
  8. Maintain a spreadsheet and other tracking documents regarding all students who are enrolled in the WBL program.ย 
  9. Assess students work skills, appearance and articulation skills before they are sent to a work site.ย 
  10. Conduct work based learning seminars with student s and instructors to highlight the importance of the WBL sites and expectations of the site.

Education and Experience Requirements:ย 

  • Associate's degree and two year's related experience.ย 
  • A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.ย
