Your Role:

This role is position is for an experienced trading operations manager with automated trading and middle and back office experience. This includes

  • leading our US spot exchange operations (Alpaca Crypto LLC)

  • leading our Bahamas spot and derivatives exchange operations (AlpacaX Crypto Limited)

  • building and maintaining our internal trading desk

Things You Get To Do:

You will build and manage a globally distributed team of trade ops associates providing 24/5 service coverage.

You and your team:

  • Directly engage with our customers, providing a world-class service

  • Review, identify and resolve trade differences

  • Process trade corrections and cancellations

  • Inventory account reconciliation

  • Provide input into new procedures and processes as well as revisions to existing operations procedures and processes

  • Manage our trading desk (internal market maker) and work with engineering to build and monitor trading systems performing automated hedging strategies

  • Manage our global fiat banking relationships

  • Maintain relationships with liquidity providers, token projects and all our vendors

  • Assist with financial and regulatory audits

  • Work closely with engineering to bring industry-leading crypto products to market

Who You Are (Must-Haves):

  • Experienced running middle/back office trade operations for a brokerage or crypto exchange

  • Built and managed a globally distributed customer service focused team providing world-class 24/5 service coverage

  • Experience trading crypto professionally

  • Experience in US crypto regulations

Who You Might Be (Nice-To-Haves):

  • Quant research or have previously run a trading desk

  • Entrepreneurial experience as co-founder / founding team of a startup

  • Operated within a SOC 1/2 Type 2 certified environment
