Job description

Texell, named one of the BEST credit unions to work for in the NATION by the Credit Union Journal, is seeking a Part-Time Events Coordinator to work on-site at our headquarters location in Temple, TX.

As an Events Coordinator, you will:

  • Draft project plans and coordinate all credit union events including, but not limited to Financial Literacy, Medicare Seminars, Shred Days, Member Appreciation, and Employee Appreciation.
  • Assist leadership with development and implementation of events that meet Texell's short-term and long-term goals.
  • Actively serve as project manager for events and generate post-event analysis via after-action reporting.
  • Serve as marketing department representative events during business hours and after hours when required.
  • Coordinate promotional product ordering and distribution.
  • Oversee the Financial Literacy Calendar to ensure Texell maintains a consistent presence in the community as a leading advocate for financial literacy.
  • Assist members and employees with questions as needed.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service, integrity, and professionalism with members at all times.
  • Prepare monthly reports assigned by management.

  • Has six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
  • High School Degree or GED is required.
  • Pride themselves on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Has a teamwork mentality and enjoys a healthy work culture.
  • Courtesy and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with customers and others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for the purposes of giving and obtaining information or instructions, updating or referring. Communications generally require shorter and not in-depth discussions.
