Job description

Sr Consultant, Business Operations

The Sr. Consultant (Supervisor), Data Integrations & Audience Activation is responsible for leading the implementation, operational reliability, and optimization of TransUnion's data onboarding and audience activation ecosystem. This role oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of audience data, including data provider onboarding, data ingestion and processing workflows, identity and segmentation enablement, and audience activation and delivery to partner platforms.

The manager leads a team responsible for ensuring that client and partner data is successfully onboarded, processed, and delivered across TransUnion's advertising and marketing partner ecosystem, including DSPs, social platforms, and data marketplaces. This position serves as a technical and operational leader, working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Client Success, and Partnerships to ensure integrations scale efficiently while maintaining high reliability and operational excellence. The ideal candidate combines technical fluency in data workflows with strong operational leadership, enabling teams to troubleshoot complex data pipelines while continuously improving delivery performance and platform integrations.

This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team responsible for data onboarding, integration support, and audience activation workflows.
  • Establish operational processes, monitoring frameworks, and escalation procedures for data pipeline reliability.
  • Prioritize and manage team workload across onboarding projects, partner integrations, and operational support requests.
  • Develop team expertise in data integrations, audience activation workflows, and troubleshooting methodologies.

Data Integration & Onboarding

  • Oversee the onboarding and implementation of client and data provider integrations.
  • Ensure ingestion pipelines are configured accurately and align with TransUnion data standards.
  • Support the translation of client data requirements into scalable platform configurations.
  • Coordinate with Product and Engineering teams to improve onboarding tools and automation.

Audience Activation & Partner Delivery

  • Oversee activation and delivery of 1st- and 3rd-party audiences across TransUnion partner platforms.
  • Ensure audiences are successfully configured, delivered, refreshed, and maintained across partner environments.
  • Monitor activation pipelines to ensure data is delivered according to platform refresh cadences and requirements.
  • Identify and resolve delivery failures, scale discrepancies, or match-rate issues across partner platforms.

Operational Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Establish monitoring frameworks to track ingestion and activation pipeline health.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex data processing, ingestion, and activation issues.
  • Implement proactive controls to detect anomalies, delivery failures, or platform configuration issues.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and operational improvements to prevent recurring issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to prioritize platform enhancements and integration improvements.
  • Collaborate with Client Success, Sales, and Technical Account teams to support enterprise client implementations.
  • Provide technical input on new partner integrations and activation capabilities.
  • Represent operational perspectives in platform design and product roadmap discussions.

Documentation & Process Optimization

  • Maintain and evolve operational documentation for onboarding, integration, and activation workflows.
  • Develop scalable processes and automation to improve operational efficiency.
  • Establish best practices and standards for data onboarding and audience delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in adtech, martech, data integrations, or technical operations.
  • 2+ years of team leadership or project leadership experience.
  • Experience working with enterprise data integrations and advertising platform ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to manage complex operational workflows and cross-functional initiatives.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with data ingestion pipelines and audience activation workflows.
  • Familiarity with DSPs, social platforms, data onboarding platforms, and marketing ecosystems.
  • Experience with file-based and API-based integrations.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and structured data analysis.
  • Familiarity with cloud data environments (AWS, GCP, Snowflake, etc.).
  • Strong Excel or data analysis tool proficiency.
