Job description

EMPLOYER: Blue Yonder, Inc.
JOB TITLE: Technical Architect
LOCATION: Scottsdale AZ (Telecommute role, may work remotely from anywhere in the US)
DUTIES: Lead all aspects of performance design, tuning and optimization including Warehouse Management, Order Management, and Transportation Management. Supervise and manage Sr. Software Engineer and QA Engineer Lead. Lead activities to design, develop and execute Performance Load Tests utilizing JMeter, Groovy and Python to simulate workloads and measure throughput and response times of the Blue Yonder solutions. Tools and experience similar to LoadRunner, Cycle, WebLOAD, Silk, BlazeMeter. Analyze the Technical and Solution Architecture and make recommendations in order to optimize system performance. Provide technical support to the implementation teams; this includes best practice design, environment setup and configuration. Utilize performance monitoring and profiling tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Sar, nmon, perfmon, wireshark, fiddler, YourKit, Explain Plans, SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle AWR reports to detect, isolate, and resolve performance issues. Assist in analysis, re-design and recommendations to improve application code, database queries, scripts and integrations. Troubleshoot escalated production issues to assist the Consulting, Cloud and Support Teams in a timely manner. Act as the liaison to both product development as well as Consulting, Support, and Cloud teams. Provide inputs to Project Managers and Client partners for developing project plans and ensure delivery is consistent with the project estimates provided.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Developer, Solutions Architect, or a related/similar position. Experience therein to include the followings:
  • 5 years in JMeter, and Retail domain including Order Management, Merchandise, Return Management, Transport Management, Store Management;
  • 5 years with Oracle, and Jira;
  • 5 years with Java, and GitHub;
  • 5 years with MySQL, and Dynatrace;
  • 4 years with LoadRunner, GCP, OpenShift, Jenkins, and Bamboo;
  • 3 years with MongoDB, Cloud Spanner, DB2, Cassandra, AppDynamics, F5 Load Balancer, and Trading domain;
  • 2 years with NeoLoad, NetStorm, Spring Boot, Node.js, Microsoft SQL / Azure DB, InfluxDB, Aerospike, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Azure, and Quality Center; and
  • 1 year with Python, Snowflake, and Rally

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
