Responsibilities include: 

  • Assist in controlling labor cost for the restaurant.
  • Assigns stations and job duties.
  • Greets and seats guests and insures proper service.
  • Assists in training employees.
  • Maintains open communication between all personnel working in the dining room.
  • Acting Manager in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
  • Understand and demonstrate Management’s point of view.
  • Ensure employee safety.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of all side stations, tableware, floors, salt and pepper, sugar, etc.
  • Encourages teamwork in the department.
  • Coaches and counsels those not meeting standards.
  • Treat everyone with care, dignity, fairness, respect, and recognition.
  • Coaches, counsels, and terminates, when necessary, those not meeting standards.
  • Visits with guests a minimum of five minutes every hour.
  • Ensure that all Team Members are knowledgeable of and adhere to all Penn Entertainment, JINYA Ramen, and property service standards.
  • Execute and share all Food and Beverage Dept. policies and procedures.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three (3) years of food experience.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • Extraordinary customer service skills
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Comprehensive food knowledge, which includes Profit and Loss Statements, cost control, training, inventory control and sanitation.
  • Must be familiar with menu including wine/drink list.
  • Friendly and outgoing
  • Strong organization skills
