In contrast, Jewelry Sales Associates engage directly with customers, assisting with purchases and providing product knowledge. Both roles are essential in jewelry retail, but they differ in responsibilities and daily tasks.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Jewelry Inventory Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Jewelry Inventory Specialist, you need attention to detail, organizational skills, and experience with inventory management, often supported by a high school diploma or relevant retail background. Proficiency with inventory tracking software, barcode scanners, and point-of-sale (POS) systems is typically required. Strong communication, integrity, and problem-solving skills help ensure accuracy and foster trust within the team. These abilities are essential for maintaining precise stock records, preventing loss, and supporting efficient store operations.

What does a Jewelry Inventory Specialist do?

A Jewelry Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing, tracking, and organizing jewelry stock for a store or company. Their duties include receiving new shipments, conducting regular inventory counts, updating inventory records, and ensuring that all pieces are properly labeled and stored. They also help prevent loss or theft by maintaining accurate records and implementing security protocols. This role is essential for ensuring that sales teams and customers have access to up-to-date information on available jewelry items.

What are some common challenges faced in a jewelry inventory role, and how can they be managed effectively?

One of the main challenges in a jewelry inventory role is maintaining precise records while handling high-value, small-sized items that are easy to misplace or miscount. Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial, as even minor discrepancies can have significant financial implications. Implementing robust inventory management systems, conducting regular audits, and following strict security protocols can help manage these challenges. Additionally, clear communication with sales and procurement teams ensures inventory levels are up-to-date, further reducing errors.

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional quality, beautiful craftsmanship, and a warm, welcoming environment for our generations of loyal customers. We are currently seeking a trustworthy, motivated, and detail-oriented Sales & Office Clerical Associate to join our tight-knit team.

The Role

In this dual role, you will be the face of our store—helping customers celebrate life's special moments—while also ensuring our daily office operations run smoothly. This position requires a unique blend of warm interpersonal skills and sharp organizational habits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement & Sales: Welcome guests, listen actively to their needs, and guide them through our fine jewelry selection with a consultative, low-pressure approach.
  • Office & Clerical Support: Handle daily administrative tasks, processing transactions, and basic data entry and inputting new stock items.
  • Inventory & Security Management: Carefully handle, display, and organize high-value items with strict adherence to store security protocols and ethical standards.
  • Store Presentation: Help maintain a clean, organized, and beautiful showroom floor.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Previous retail sales experience is required (experience in fine jewelry or luxury retail is highly preferred).
  • Skills: Exceptional communication and active listening skills. You should love connecting with people and telling the stories behind our pieces.
  • Character: A high level of trustworthiness, honesty, and impeccable ethical standards are non-negotiable for handling high-value inventory.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational habits for managing paperwork, clerical duties, and inventory tracking.

Work Schedule & Quality of Life

Say goodbye to grueling mall hours! We offer an excellent, consistent schedule:

  • Tuesday – Friday: 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Saturday: 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Closed Sunday & Monday * Closed on most major holidays

Please submit your resume along with a brief cover letter explaining why you would be a great fit for our family-owned business.
