About the Job

Frank Darling is an online, female-founded fine jewelry brand making custom engagement rings, wedding bands, and fine jewelry more accessible than ever before. We’ve been featured in Vogue, InStyle, WSJ, Bloomberg, Forbes, Brides, Glossy, and more for our design, sustainability, and modern take on bridal.

We have an immediate, on-site opening for Sales Support in our Chicago studio. This role is the operational backbone of the studio—supporting the client experience, managing diamond and inventory logistics, and ensuring each day runs smoothly. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and comfortable working behind the scenes in a fast-paced, high-touch environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Experience Support

  • Greet clients and manage front-of-house flow, including opening the door, offering seating and beverages, and supporting a warm, polished showroom experience

  • Facilitate appointments for client ring/jewelry pick-ups

  • Assist clients with ring/jewelry repair and resize drop-offs

  • Lightly assist walk-in clients when sales designers are unavailable by explaining the process, answering basic questions, and showing sample rings as needed

  • Contact late appointments and assist with rescheduling as needed

  • Field inbound phone calls and support the local studio inbox on chat platforms

Showroom Organization

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and client-ready showroom environment

  • Manage packaging supplies, office supplies, and snacks

  • Oversee showroom music and general studio ambiance

  • Create job envelopes for repairs, resizes, and remakes

Operations & Inventory

  • Open and set up the studio each morning

  • Handle all inbound and outbound diamond shipments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to stone handling and security protocols

  • Manage long-term memo inventory and sample jewelry inventory

  • Prep stones and paperwork for upcoming appointments

  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Gemology Team for shipments and inventory coordination

  • Pick up and drop off packages from FedEx as needed

  • Liaise with the Client Care Team regarding pickups, drop-offs and ring shipments

  • Ensure accurate, timely updates across internal systems related to inventory, appointments, and shipments

  • Proactively flag discrepancies, issues, or delays and escalate as needed to the Studio Manager or HQ teams

  • Assist with end-of-day studio reset and readiness for the following day

  • Partner with the Studio Manager on ad hoc tasks to support overall studio operations

  • Communicate with the building manager to resolve facility-related issues

Requirements & Experience
  • Strong knowledge of fine jewelry styles and trends

  • Comfort working with high-value inventory in a detail-driven environment

  • Technologically adept with the ability to learn and manage multiple internal systems

  • Keen eye for detail paired with empathy, professionalism, and good judgment

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to read diamond laser inscriptions using a jeweler’s loupe

  • 1+ years of jewelry experience preferred

  • Able to lift up to 15 pounds when required

Job Details
  • Full-time, on-site role located in Chicago

  • Studio hours are 10AM–6PM, Ops specialist Hours are 9AM-5PM after training.

  • Available schedule: Monday-Friday

  • Salary: 50-60K
