Job description

Coordinator Crew Relations 

Position Summary

The Coordinator Crew Relations supports the Crew Relations function by providing coordination, documentation, and execution of foundational employee relations work. This role is responsible for managing case intake, supporting the investigation lifecycle, and conducting low-complexity, routine investigations, including basic performance and dependability-related matters.

The Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring timely case progression, accurate documentation, and operational efficiency. This position partners with Crew Relations leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to support fair, consistent, and compliant resolution of crewmember concerns while promoting JetBlue's values and workplace standards.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage intake of employee relations concerns, including initial case assessment, documentation, and entry into case management systems (e.g., CRIS)
  • Conduct preliminary outreach to gather information, clarify concerns, and support intake assessments
  • Independently conduct low-risk, low-complexity investigations, including basic performance, attendance, and policy-related matters
  • Lead intake discussions and initial interviews for assigned cases and document findings appropriately
  • Gather, organize, and maintain relevant evidence, including schedules, system data, and communications
  • Prepare case summaries and documentation for review by Crew Relations leadership
  • Coordinate scheduling of investigatory meetings, interviews, and follow-ups across stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely case documentation that meets investigation and audit standards
  • Track case timelines and proactively identify delays, risks, or gaps in case progression
  • Generate and maintain reports on case volume, timelines, and key trends
  • Support audit initiatives (e.g., dependability, travel, military leave) through tracking and documentation
  • Partner with Crew Relations team members, People Business Partners, and leadership to ensure timely communication and coordination
  • Provide basic guidance to leaders and crewmembers on processes, expectations, and next steps
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support standardization efforts across intake and case management workflows
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Escalate complex, high-risk, or sensitive matters to Crew Relations leadership as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • One (1) year of experience in HR, operations, analytics, or administrative support roles
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically and creatively when resolving issues and concerns
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Available for overnight travel (25%)
  • Must be in possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, HR or I/O or S/O Psychology
  • Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR)
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Prior airline experience

Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System 
  • Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards 
  • Identify safety and security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Safety Action Report (SAR)) 
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls  
  • Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities 
  • The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation

  • The base pay range for this position is between $45,000.00 and $77,800.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
