Shape Technologies Group - Baxter Springs is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our Logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading daily shipping and receiving operations in the warehouse, ensuring accurate, timely inbound and outbound shipments. This role supervises warehouse staff, coordinates with internal departments to meet delivery requirements, maintains inventory accuracy, and drives process improvements. The supervisor also ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards while providing clear leadership and direction to the team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
  • Direct and supervise the activities of the shipping and receiving team to ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments.
  • Train, mentor, and coach shipping and receiving personnel to improve performance and enhance productivity.
  • Ensure that all shipped and received products meet quality standards and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee the organization and storage of incoming and outgoing goods within the warehouse facility.
  • Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Directs the movement of the shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement measures to optimize shipping and receiving operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and related documentation. Generate reports as required to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and departmental metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs regulations, import/export laws, and safety standards.
  • Enforce safety regulations and procedures to create a safe working environment for employees and minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in Shipping and Receiving supervision.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in using a Quality Management System (QMS)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods (8+ hour shifts), walk throughout warehouse facilities, and occasionally climb stairs or ladders. The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as reach, bend, stoop, twist, and perform repetitive motions.
This position requires working in off-site warehouse locations that are not climate-controlled, with exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, dust, and outdoor weather conditions. The employee must be comfortable working around warehouse equipment, forklifts, and moving materials, and may be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
