Job description

CGS is looking for a part-time on-call (PTOC) Virtual Three-Dimensional (V3D) Visualization System Analyst to support the US Army's Mission Command Training Program (MCTP). MCTP enables commanders and staff to train in the art and science of mission command through large-scale Warfighter Exercises (WFX) and other collective training events.
The V3D Visualization System Analyst plays a key role in ensuring data accuracy, analytical rigor, and timely production of combat power and adjudication information for use by the Exercise Director, Opposing Force (OPFOR), and senior MCTP leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • The V3D Visualization System Analyst operates the V3D map visualization system to provide a Common Operating Picture (COP) in a geographical depiction of the battlefield in a scenario-based environment, given a specific time and place. V3D Operator will provide Senior Leaders / Mentors at CORPS, Division and Brigade levels to provide doctrinal guidance and assistance to the Chief of Operations (COO) with organizational training in support of the Commanders Intent

Minimum Requirements:
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint software.
  • Familiar with current Army and Joint doctrine.
  • BS/BA degree with 5+ years of military experience, or high school education with 10 years military experience.
  • Active DOD Secret clearance is required.
  • Must be able to work at temporary training locations which restrict entry to only approved military, DoD personnel, and contractors.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) and the V3D map visualization system.
  • Experience using the V3D software in support of MCTP.
  • Experience in Army simulation exercise analysis (e.g., WARSIM, JCATS, JLCCTC).
  • Military background or experience supporting Division- or Corps-level operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to brief senior leaders.

Working Conditions: Inside Government training facilities.
Required Travel: Employees will travel to temporary work locations during exercises.
