Role : MuleSoft Technical Architect (Mule + Java)

Location : Princeton, NJ

MuleSoft Technical Architect (Mule + Java) (12-15 Years)

ย ย Seasoned MuleSoft Technical Architect with strong expertise in designing and delivering API led integration architectures using Mule 4 and the Anypoint Platform

ย ย Experience in Mule Migration with Java 8 to 17 and led the project.

ย ย Strong Java engineering background with hands-on migration experience from Java 8 to 11/17 (language, libraries, module system, JVM flags).

ย ย Proficiency with Anypoint Platform (Studio, Runtime Manager/CloudHub, API Manager, Exchange), DataWeave 2.x, Mule SDK, and common connectors (HTTP, DB, JMS, Salesforce, AWS, SAP, etc.)

ย ย Refactor custom Java modules used by Mule flows (e.g., custom processors, SDK-based connectors) to ensure Java 17 compatibility.

ย ย Deep Git/Maven expertise; experience upgrading plugins, BOMs, and build pipelines; solid understanding of dependency mediation and shading.

ย ย Solid Core Java/Java with hands-on experience building Mule custom connectors, policies, and reusable frameworks using Java.

ย ย Skilled in defining Experience, Process, and System APIs, canonical data models, integration patterns (sync/async), and scalable, secure architectures.

ย ย Proficient in RAML/OAS/Swagger 2.0 design, DataWeave transformations, API governance, reusability strategies, and establishing platform standards.

ย ย Experienced in CloudHub/CloudHub 2.0, On-Prem, and Runtime Fabric deployments with strong understanding of VPC/VPN networking, security, and environment management.

ย ย Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, MUnits, and DevOps best practices using Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.

ย ย Deep knowledge of API security (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS), token propagation, rate limiting, and zero-trust patterns.
