JOB DESCRIPTION:

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to the planning, design, and development of microservices on your team.
  • Build Java microservices that work with Angular and third-party applications
  • Deliver code with exceptional quality and security that operates at scale
  • Participate in code reviews and retrospectives, and submit Pull Requests using Git
  • Collaborate with software engineers, test engineers, TPMs, and PMs
  • Ensure that you use 12-factor app design principles in your development.
  • Ensure that the systems you create comply with Client engineering best practices and governance models, including security, operations, and Enterprise Architecture requirements

Skills and Experience Needed

Required:

  • Experience building applications using Java
  • Extensive experience with Java APIs
  • Experience with web technologies, including HTML, JavaScript and front-end frameworks such as Angular
  • Ability to optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Solid SQL development knowledge (i.e. PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.) and able to deliver solutions that leverage them at a massive scale
  • Exposure to automated testing and releasing software in a continuous delivery model using Git
  • Experience working in an Agile team focused on continuous improvement
  • Able to learn and leverage best practices and modern software architecture and collaborate within a team
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical people
