Job Title Software Engineer — Java, Spring Boot, Microservices

Location: NJ-Hybrid

Rate: $50/hr W2 $55/hr c2C Own Corp

 

Role Overview

  • The Software Engineer will design, build, test, and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservice capabilities, including REST APIs, database persistence, service integrations, messaging, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, service-layer logic,
  • repositories, DTOs, and entity mappings.
  • Implement integrations with downstream services using WebClient and publish
  • asynchronous events through RabbitMQ.
  • Write unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, Spring Boot Test, and related test frameworks.
  • Apply secure coding practices, validation standards, structured logging, and
  • environment-aware configuration.
  • Support QA, defect resolution, deployment validation, and production triage when assigned.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years Java engineering; 3+ years Spring Boot microservices in an enterprise environment.

Core Skills

  • Java 17+/21, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Spring Data JPA, Oracle or enterprise RDBMS, Spring Security, OAuth2/JWT, RabbitMQ, MapStruct, Maven, Docker, Git/GitLab.

Preferred
