We're seeking someone to join our team as a Java Full-Stack Developer to lead the design, development, and delivery of mission-critical risk technology solutions that support enterprise-wide risk management, regulatory reporting, and business growth across a global financial services environment. In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Software Engineering position at Director level which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role: Design and build end-to-end web applications across the full technology stack, including user interfaces, APIs, and data layers. Develop scalable and resilient solutions using modern application architecture and microservices patterns.

Create and maintain REST APIs and data exchange services leveraging multiple data formats including JSON, flat files, and columnar data structures. Design metadata-driven and configuration-based solutions to enable flexibility and ease of change. Model and implement database schemas, optimize complex SQL queries, and improve database performance across large-scale platforms.

Develop and support batch and event-driven processing solutions with a focus on concurrency, data integrity, and performance. Collaborate with agile squads to deliver high-quality software solutions and support continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in testing, deployment, production support, and knowledge-sharing activities to ensure operational excellence.

What you'll bring to the role: At least 5+ years' relevant experience in Java and Full-Stack Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with the mentioned relevant years of professional experience as a developer in the data and analytics space. Strong experience with object-oriented languages: Java Strong experience with user interface design & development using Angular, React, Javascript etc. Strong experience in database development (Snowflake, Oracle/Sybase/DB2) in designing schema, complex procedures, complex data scripts, query authoring (SQL), and performance optimization.

Strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyze and understand data Strong knowledge of software development and the system implementation life cycle is a must. Experience developing, testing & supporting multi-tier technology architectures. Should be comfortable with Unix / Linux, shell-scripting, Excel.

All our positions are located in Montreal, Quebec. We offer a hybrid work environment, combining remote work and attendance in the office. Knowledge of French and English is required.
