Description

We are looking for a passionate, energetic member of an agile team to play a key role in converting legacy ASP and .Net to Java technology and creating small to medium applications. The applications will be built in a modular way with Spring MVC or Experience Factory on the front end and SQL Server on the backend. 


The system will integrate with back-end systems through a JEE services layer and/or Web Services. This developer will be focused on the front-end creation of the website using Spring MVC and developing in the middle layer. They must have strong technical skills as well as be a good communicator, and have an eye for technical excellence. Individuals who are able to contribute in all aspects of the development lifecycle as well as being committed, passionate members of a highly collaborative team will excel. 


Qualifications

Skills / Experience 

Strong Spring MVC or Experience Factory 

Experience with debugging and optimizing the code 

Java/JSP, JEE, JavaScript, VB Script, HTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, JSON, jQuery, SOA, Web Services, WSDL, SQL Server and Classic ASP 

.Net nice to have 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem solving skills 

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills 

Work very closely with a larger development team of differing skillsets 

Agile framework 

Airline experience, plus 


Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

Understand the existing Classic ASP and .Net applications and rewrite in Java 

Develop new software modules in an iterative way that will collectively form a larger application 

Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance 

Estimate work to be done as part of an overall agile process 

Coordinate application implementation and test functionality to ensure specifications are met
