REQUIRED SKILLS : Must Haves: • Playwright - plus solid understanding for Playwright best practices • Typescript
Location:
• Charlotte first preference (Hybrid Onsite 3 days per week)
• Second choice Hybrid onsite in St. Louis, Denver, or Louisville
• Remote third option - needs to be a rockstar candidate
Contract position budgeted through end of 2024 but would extend from there
Why is this REQ open?
Support of Selenium to Playwright Migration. These two resources will be responsible for writing playwright code from scratch and automating testing; want these resources to create new components and ensure testing is modular/reusable. Will also handle code review but will not have any QA Testing responsibilities, strictly development of new testing
Top 3 requirements:
1. Playwright Coding/ Development experience
a. need to understand modern Playwright coding best practices, not someone who can write traditional Java scripts to put into Playwright
b. Experience with writing Playwright code and automation test scrips from scratch as well as modular/reusable code and preform code reviews
2. Typescript coding/ development experience in Playwright
a. Playwright does support Java but they are moving to Typescript instead as it better supports modern Playwright best practices
Nice to have/ Preferred requirements:
• CI/CD pipelines (strong plus)
• Gitlab Experience
• Experience Deploying code in Docker/Kubernetes environment

Migrating their testing over to Playwright, from Selenium
These two resources would be brought in to work on the coding side of the Playwright Migration
While Playwright does support Java, they are moving to Typescript instead as it better supports Playwright best practices
These 2 resources will be Software Developers in Test (SDET)
Responsible for writing playwright code from scratch and automating testing; want these resources to create new components and ensure testing is modular/reusable
Must understand Playwright best practices - there are multiple ways to write code, but within playwright there are ideal ways to code to ensure a faster system
No QA testing responsibilities - strictly development of new testing
