What You Will Do & Who We Are Looking For The Mechanical Engineer supports the design, development, testing, and production of less-lethal munitions, pyrotechnic devices, tactical launchers, and precision-engineered defense components. This role focuses on mechanical design, product reliability, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement within a high-mix, defense-grade production environment. Key Responsibilities Mechanical Design โ€” Create and refine 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings for munitions, launchers, and mechanical subsystems. Engineering Analysis โ€” Perform stress, thermal, vibration, and tolerance analyses to ensure product performance and safety. Prototype Development โ€” Build and evaluate prototypes; conduct iterative design improvements based on test data. Testing & Validation โ€” Develop and execute test plans for ballistic, environmental, and functional evaluations. Manufacturing Support โ€” Troubleshoot production issues, optimize manufacturability, and support tooling and fixture design. Documentation โ€” Generate BOMs, specifications, ECNs, and technical reports in accordance with internal and defense-industry standards.
