Job Summary:
ShiftCode Analytics, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) focused on Claims and Adjudication. The role involves developing and executing automated tests for healthcare insurance claims processing, utilizing skills in automation frameworks and programming languages.
Responsibilities:
• 4+ years of SDET/Automation Engineering experience utilizing Selenium/Java and Cucumber
• 3 years software development experience in object-oriented language.
• Must have healthcare insurance industry experience, specifically within the Claims processing and Adjudication fields.
• Knowledge of test-first practices including Test-Driven Development (TDD) for unit tests and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) for automated acceptance tests.
• Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Basic understanding of cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure)
• Basic understanding of database technologies (e.g. cloud, SQL, Oracle, Mongo DB, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Fundamental knowledge of software engineering best practices, agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines Proficient.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
• Knowledge of Code quality and promotion practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (In lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.)
• 4+ years of SDET/Automation Engineering experience utilizing Selenium/Java and Cucumber
• 3 years software development experience in object-oriented language. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. C, Python, .NET Framework, Java, etc.). Java is most appealing
• Must have healthcare insurance industry experience, specifically within the Claims processing and Adjudication fields.
• Knowledge of test-first practices including Test-Driven Development (TDD) for unit tests and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) for automated acceptance tests
• Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Basic understanding of cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure)
• Basic understanding of database technologies (e.g. cloud, SQL, Oracle, Mongo DB, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Fundamental knowledge of software engineering best practices, agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines Proficient. Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
• Knowledge of Code quality and promotion practices
• 6-10 years of experience in a testing discipline, 5 of which must be in automated software testing with healthcare claims testing knowledge
• Must have experience with EDI 837 Health Care Claims processing.
• Must have strong working experience with test automation using selenium java script, python, cucumber, BDD
• Experience in Webservices test automation using tools like Soap UI
• Experience with relational database management systems (e.g. MS SQL Server, DB2, Oracle,) Proven proficiency with: SQL and PL/SQL
• Proven experience with Agile and Waterfall software development life cycle (SDLC) models
• Ability to work independently and effectively in small teams is necessary, and to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Should be well organized and detail oriented as well as possessing good written and oral communication skill
