Job description

Job Description:
  • Experienced CAX Administrator to manage and support engineering tool environments that enable high-quality design and product development for EV battery systems.
  • The role involves maintaining CAD/CAE/CAM tools, PLM systems, licenses, and templates, ensuring smooth operations for mechanical, electrical, and thermal engineering teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer, maintain, and support CAD/CAE/CAM tools (e.g., CATIA V5/V6/3DX)
  • Manage PLM systems (3D experience), including user access, permissions, and data integrity
  • Handle software installations, updates, licenses, and patches
  • Create and maintain templates, macros, standards, and configured libraries
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for engineering users
  • Support data management, version control, and change workflows
  • Assist in upgrades, migrations, and system integrations
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure tool performance and reliability

Requirements:
  • B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical, IT, or related field
  • 5 - 8 years of experience as a CAD/CAE/PLM/CAX Administrator
  • Good Knowledge about CATIA V5/V6/3DX or equivalent CAD tools
  • Experience with PLM systems and software license management
  • Good understanding of engineering workflows and data management

Preferred:
  • Scripting knowledge (Python, VB, or similar)
  • Experience supporting automotive engineering teams
  • Familiarity with high-volume product development environments
