Title: Google Cloud Engineer (with Java)
Location: Minneapolis,MN
Duration: 6 months CTH
Job Skills
Strong GCP Cloud Engineer experience (GKE, Cloud Run, IAM, VPC, Logging/Monitoring).
Strong Java developer (Java 11/17+, Spring Boot) building microservices.
Build and run microservices on Kubernetes (GKE) with scalable, reliable deployments.
Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI / Cloud Build) and GitOps (ArgoCD).
Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (repeatable, idempotent deployments).
Design high availability systems (multi-zone / multi-region) with DR and performance in mind.
Troubleshoot production issues across cloud, Kubernetes, networking, and Java services.
Secure apps using IAM least privilege, service accounts, and workload identity.
Manage secrets/config using GCP Secret Manager (and Vault if needed).
Good to have cloud networking awareness.
Observability: logs, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerts (Cloud Ops, NR, Splunk).
Comfortable working in Jira and service tools like Salesforce Service Cloud.
