Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Java Developer with 6–7 years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development and strong experience supporting Child Support Services or Human Services programs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java-based technologies, modern development frameworks, system integration, and Agile delivery environments.
This role involves designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining mission-critical applications supporting Child Support Services programs and related public sector initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
  •  Base Salary: $85,000 annually before benefits

Key Responsibilities
  •  Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based enterprise applications 
  •  Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions 
  •  Support modernization and enhancement initiatives for Child Support Services systems 
  •  Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integrations 
  •  Participate in full SDLC activities including requirements analysis, coding, testing, deployment, and production support 
  •  Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents 
  •  Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards 
  •  Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives 
  •  Support database design, queries, and optimization efforts 
  •  Create technical documentation and assist with knowledge transfer activities 
Required Qualifications
  •  6–7 years of experience in Java development 
  •  Experience working on Child Support Services, Human Services, or Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES) projects 
  •  Strong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST APIs 
  •  Experience with microservices architecture and web services 
  •  Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL 
  •  Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines 
  •  Familiarity with Agile development methodologies 
  •  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills 
Preferred Qualifications
  •  Experience working with state or government agencies 
  •  Knowledge of Child Support Enforcement systems and workflows 
  •  Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure 
  •  Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes 
  •  Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular or React is a plus
