What You’ll Do

As a Software Developer Intern, you’ll be a valued member of our development team, contributing to projects while building practical software engineering experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications using Visual Studio (.NET) and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business users to understand requirements and build effective solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following development best practices.
  • Test and debug applications to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Help document technical designs, processes, and system functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews and team meetings.
  • Research new technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
  • Gain exposure to software deployment, database development, and system integrations.
What We’re Looking For
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Expected graduation within the next 1-3 years.
  • Available to work:
    • Full-time during summer break
    • Up to 20 hours per week during the school year
    • Able to work in office in Grand Rapids, MI
  • Basic experience with object-oriented programming through coursework or personal projects.
  • Familiarity with C#, VB.NET, Java, Python, or another programming language.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems is a plus.
  • Interest in desktop application development using .NET technologies.
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning, OCR, or large language models is a plus but not required.
