Job description

Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Analyst (Back-End & Automation Focus)
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented SQA Analyst II to drive testing strategies and execution for complex, back-end centric applications. In this role, you will go beyond standard GUI testing, focusing on file processing, relational databases, and system interfaces. You will be responsible for the full testing lifecycle-from requirement analysis and scenario derivation to automated script development. The ideal candidate is a technical tester with strong SQL skills and hands-on experience building automation frameworks for APIs and regression suites in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Testing: Establish testing strategies and develop comprehensive test plans for small-to-medium complexity projects.
• Back-End Execution: Perform rigorous testing on applications where no GUI is involved, specifically focusing on back-end processing, file handling, and system-to-system interfaces.
• Automation Engineering: Develop and maintain automated regression suites and API testing frameworks using Selenium WebDriver (Java) and Rest Assured.
• Database Verification: Execute complex SQL queries to validate data integrity within relational databases.
• Requirement Analysis: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, identify gaps in specifications, and provide project estimates.
• Reporting & Visibility: Document test results and provide complete visibility to stakeholders using Azure DevOps (ADO) or ALM.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to QA standards and assist team members in resolving identified technical bottlenecks.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional Experience: * 3+ years in Software Quality Assurance.
• Proven experience in back-end/interface testing (Unix and Mainframe experience is highly preferred).
• Hands-on experience with the Page Object Model (POM) or Hybrid automation frameworks.
• Technical Mastery:
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Relational Databases.
• Hands-on automation experience with Selenium (Java) and API Automation (Rest Assured).
• Familiarity with IT industry standards (ITIL, COBIT, or IEEE).
• Domain Knowledge: Working knowledge of the Healthcare domain is a significant plus.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate relationships between vendors and internal partners.
