Join us as a Senior Java Developer (Data Analytics) in our Sanctions Technology team!

The Senior Java Developer will work cross teams within Compliance Sanctions Systems group. He/she will help to ensure that optimal solutions and recommendations are provided in-line with industry best practices and firm's technology standards. He/she will work closely with Sanctions development teams to help with design, development, and evolution of Compliance Systems solutions. The Senior Developer will provide architecture and development guidelines to development teams and will help research and maintain data quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design, development, support, maintenance, and implementation Sanctions processing
  • Communicating and coordinating effectively with business analysts and cross-functional technology teams. Promote backend processing architecture and business object model standard among systems
  • Documenting technical specifications, architecture, functional flows, data modeling, data flow, workflow and translate business requirement into data and information requirement for custom development efforts
  • Designing high performance, robust and scalable Compliance systems
  • Ensure integrity, quality of data and information stored and flowing between business applications, data marts and business intelligence applications
  • Designing and implementing applications utilizing java and J2EE technologies
  • Building and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code
  • Identify risks, opportunities and help define technology roadmaps
  • Work with Compliance team ensure that persistence layer interface and data provided in Applications, Reports, Dashboards, and other interfaces are used appropriately and governance rules are adhered
  • Provide hands-on support with SQL development of more complex deliverables and work with large data sets for analytics purpose for users
  • Maintain all aspects of application lifecycle management using Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodology, including systems analysis, user stories, solutions design, implementation, testing, UAT, and post-implementation support

Requirements:

  • MS/BS degree in Computer Science or related work experience required
  • At least 7 years of backend development and data analytics
  • Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills - both written and oral
  • Exceptional data analytical skill and creative problem-solving skills
  • Experience with SQL databases, Stored procedures, and Views
  • Must be Proficient in Core Java, Object Oriented Concepts/Programming, JEE, JPA, Transaction Management, Design Pattern and Data Persistence Layer should have strong hands-on experience
  • Experience in the following- Spring, Web Services, SOAP, RESTFUL, Spring Boot and Tomcat server
  • Experience with Python.
  • Preferable Compliance and Sanctions Fircosoft experiences (but not required)

Salary Range

$100,000 - $150,000 + Annual Target Bonus
