Position Description
Audits construction project records; verifies contractor compliance with state and federal requirements and trains others. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Essential Duties:
  • Advises contractors' bookkeepers on record-keeping procedures.
  • May serve as District DBE Coordinator
  • Monitors material testing requirements, results, and reports for compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Participates in meetings regarding contract administration.
  • Performs and reviews construction records audits and coordinates with area engineers on monthly and final estimates, change orders, supplemental agreements, and work orders.
  • Prepares related correspondence and reports.
  • Verifies contractors' compliance with federal requirements for EEO and the on-the-job training, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, and Small Business Enterprise programs.
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies.
Experience: No experience required.
Related college education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis . Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
