• You’re a motivated student with a current 3.0 GPA or higher currently pursuing a degree in one of the following areas from an accredited college or university:
  
  • Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, AI or related STEM field
• This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field.
• Internship program runs from May 26 through August 6, 2027.
• In addition to role-specific projects, you’ll take part in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship and experiences that help you grow personally and professionally.

What you can expect in this role  

As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort.

Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.

This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.

Internship responsibilities may include:

• Utilize AI to develop processes to simplify and enhance the customer experience
• Assist in analyzing business partner’s operations to understand opportunities for improvement
• Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications to deliver solutions for all technology platforms

Required Qualifications

• Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor’s degree
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
• Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication
• Project and time management
• Ability to collaborate within teams and self-motivate
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
• Programming skills in Python, with openness to Java, C++ or Go
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, NumPy and pandas
• Working knowledge of version control systems like Git and environments such as Jupyter Notebooks
• Basic exposure to modern AI concepts including Large Language Models, prompt engineering and data pipelines
• Ability to troubleshoot code, analyze datasets and approach challenges methodically
• Portfolio of personal projects or a GitHub profile demonstrating machine learning models or data analysis scripts
