Application Engineer (Java Developer)

Contract Duration: 6+ months

Client: Modis / Paypal

Location: San Jose, CA (need locals only)

Contract Type: W2 & C2C

Pay Rate: $60 on W2 or $70 on C2C

GC or Citizens or GC-EAD only

Need 9+ years profiles only

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Typical duties include:

  • Build web applications following best practices.
  • Build REST APIs and SDKs following best practices.
  • Flexibility to work on various platforms
Skills

Knowledge of JavaScript programming language.

Knowledge of Nodejs.

Knowledge of REST architecture and development of REST API.

Knowledge of Express and Angularjs.

Knowledge of algorithms, design patterns and componentization approaches.

Exposure to Java programming language is a plus.

Exposure to distributed systems and experience with application development in cloud a plus.

Exposure to HTML, CSS, Dust and/or Jade templating technologies.

Exposure to relational databases MySQL, NoSQL is a plus.

Exposure to Big Data technologies like hadoop, hive etc. a plus.

Education BS or MS in Computer Science or related field Level IV
